Help Get 3 Steers to Sanctuary

Organized by Jodi Chapman

Another Update
Hi everyone,
Well - some bad news, some good news, and some fingers crossed news.
Hooves and Paws Sanctuary decided that because of the expense, they wouldn't be able to take our boys after all. Thankfully, a sanctuary near Seattle (http://www.pasadosafehaven.org/) has agreed to adopt them, but we need to find a way to transport them there. It's 8 hours from where we live. We have had some estimates from people that are around $1000 to move them - and we have to move them in the next few weeks.
Sorry to keep changing things on you all - we're just rolling with it as we go!
Thanks so much for all of your support and help! If you can send a donation to help transport them, that would be wonderful! Another way to help is to find someone who would be able to donate their time and transport them.
:)

The 3 Steers Need to Move - Can You Help?
Hi everyone,
It's been a crazy month - Dan and I adopted the 3 steers in Feb (thanks to all of you who donated) and were getting into a great routine of feeding them and learning how to take care of them. We had just started to get the hang of it when we got some shocking news that we had to move at the end of May. This is beyond our control, and we have been frantically looking for a sanctuary to adopt the boys since we will no longer have land.
One of our dear friends (Lynn at Santa Barbara Arts) just happened to find a sanctuary in Littlerock, CA while visiting family. She asked if they would be up for adopting these boys, and thankfully they agreed! Here is their website: www.hoovesandpaws.org. They have a great place. They currently have 2 cows, a horse, some cute pigs, goats, chickens, and ducks. I think it's an ideal situation for these 3.
They have agreed to take them for life, but they do need us to get them there and pay for permanent shelter for them. So that's what we're asking you all to help with.
It's about 11 hours from our house, and it will be quite a job to move these 3 that far. So we'll have to pay someone to do it.
If it ends up costing less than when we have raised, the remaining money will all go to the sanctuary for their care.
We'll be having another fundraiser in our Etsy shop (www.thisisit.etsy.com) on April 2nd. 100% of sales that day will go toward getting these 3 to their forever home.
Also, anyone who donates $25 or more through this site will receive a Spotty Friend notepad as a thank you!
I can't thank you all enough for your kind hearts. We are forever grateful to all of you.
Fingers crossed that we'll raise enough to get these 3 to a wonderful forever home where they can live out their lives in peace.
XOXO Jodi
